How easy is it to find pet friendly rentals on the Emerald Coast of Florida? We know that your pets are an extension of your family, and we also know that you may want them to join you on your vacation. More than half of pet owners are used to traveling with their pets, in fact, they prefer it. Your four-legged friend will love the beach just as much as you do! Do you allow any other type of animal in your pet friendly homes? No, we allow dogs only.
Is there a pet fee? Yes, there is an additional pet fee that will be charged based on the number of days of your stay.
What size dogs do you allow to stay in your vacation homes? We have a wide variety of weight limitations based on your accommodation of choice. Please check the desciption for the home you would like to book to ensure your dog will meet any weight restriction in place.
Is there a dog friendly beach in Panama City Beach? Yes! There is a dedicated dog beach along with several dog parks in PCB. Dog Beach is on the west end of PCB in front of Pier Park and to the left side of Russell-Fields City Pier. Dogs must be on a leash. There are no dog bowls available on the beach for fresh water, please plan accordingly. Find out more about Dog Beach in PCB.
Dogs are also welcome at the Panama City Beach Conservation Park (Be careful, there are snakes and alligators!), Gayle's Trails, Aaron Bessant Park, and at Frank Brown Park. There are three dog play areas at Frank Brown. All rules above still apply. Dogs must be on a leash (except in designated play area) and you must pick up after your pet.
Can I take my dog to the beach with us on 30A? How about Destin? Walton and Okaloosa counties require dog beach licenses, paid to the county. Only residents and homeowners are eligible to purchase the annual license and bring their dogs onto the beach. There are miles of walking trails and several dog parks throughout the 30A and Destin area for you to exercise your pup. Most restaurants allow dogs in their outdoor dining areas, too. If your pup needs to run off some energy, you can visit the South Walton Dog Park at 342 JD Miller Road in Santa Rosa Beach/30A. In Destin, visit the Nancy Weidenhamer Dog Park located at 4100 Indian Bayou Trail. Or bring them on a leash up and down all of the trails 30A is known for.
Where can my dog go to the beach along The Forgotten Coast? Dogs are welcome to every Gulf County Beach with the exception of St. Joseph Peninsula State Park. Gulf County Beaches would include Cape San Blas, Mexico Beach, Indian Pass, Windmark and others. Find out more about The Forgotten Coast.
Are there any pet friendly restaurants in the area? Yes, almost all restaurants on 30A allow pets to come along for outside dining. Panama City Beach and Destin have their own bounty of pet friendly restaurants, too, while dining outside. You'll see pets in all the popular locales and outdoor shopping areas, so generally the area is very pet friendly.
Please be sure to read the pet policy for your rental unit and in your Rental Agreement carefully. Based on the unit, there could be weight and size limits or other house rules for you to follow. Please clean up after your dog both inside and outside the rental.
